Read it for class but keeping it in my library

The book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne was on a suggested reading list for school. I might not have read it if I didn’t see it on a school list. Of course it is a classic and I can certainly understand why. The story tells the tale of Professor Aronnax, who is sent on an expedition to investigate a mysterious sea monster when he instead discovers the hidden world of Captain Nemo and the Nautilus submarine. The novel is filled with exciting adventures and encounters with strange creatures, written in a style that is easy to follow. It is a great read. The plot is thrilling and suspenseful, and the characters are memorable and inspiring. It is a piece of literature perfect for escapism and imaginative exploration.
