Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a staple book all kids should read!

Most kids read at least one of the wildly popular Wimpy Kids books…and if they haven’t read them, I highly recommend they do. This series is a staple in any kid’s reading repoThe Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Double Down is a lighthearted, funny book by author Jeff Kinney. It centers around the same main character from the previous books in the series, Greg Heffley, and his family.. With middle school as the backdrop, the main character Greg is trying to deal with the dramatic pressures and situations that occur during that period of childhood. The book has the characteristic comedic drawings that the other books in the series have and makes the book easily readable for all.   I would recommend this book for young readers ages 8-12 because it is a quick read and also because of its subtle messages of family support and taking responsibility. There are topics around dealing with siblings, and fitting in while feeling different from others.  Overall, The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Double Down is an entertaining book that references the comedy and characters of the series. It’s appropriate for young readers aged 8-12, and offers subtle moral lessons while still being a fun read. These books are a masterpiece in my opinion and Doble Down is no different from the rest of the series of brilliant books. This is a 5 out of 5.
