Another Judy Blume masterpiece! Hilarious!
The book Fudge-A-Mania, written by Judy Blume, is a delightful children’s book that will make you laugh out loud. It follows Peter Hatcher who, along with his family, is spending the summer visiting his eccentric grandparents in a small coastal town. The entire Hatcher family is quickly immersed in the slapstick antics of Peter’s grandparents, but the pinnacle of the ridiculous adventure comes when Peter’s arch-rival and cousin, Sheila Tubman, unexpectedly arrives on the scene. Filled with the good-natured shenanigans between Peter and Sheila that only a family vacation can bring, Fudge-A-Mania is sure to bring laughter to all readers! The characters are engaging and sometimes frustrating (Fudge–I am looking at you!), but such a cute story. Judy Blume perfectly captures the unique struggle between rivaling cousins in a humorous way that children will find relatable. Additionally, each extraordinary scene is painted with vivid detail, drawing the reader into the story and loving each character even more. Overall, Fudge-A-Mania is sure to bring a smile and several giggles to even the pickiest of young readers! If you loved Superfudge, you will love this book! I would rate this book 5/5.
