An enjoyable Shakespean historical drama

The action of Henry IV picks up right after Richard II (so maybe read that play first if you can). Henry IV is written by William Shakespeare and is an appropriate read for ages twelve and up. It follows King Henry IV of England, his son Prince Hal, and the challenges faced by them in matters of court, honor, and responsibility for themselves and for the kingdom. Overall, I would give this book a 4/5. It is a great introduction to Shakespeare’s work and a great way for students to learn about classic works of literature. History buffs like me will enjoy the Shakespeare rendition and the ending is suspenseful.
