I read the book Ingenious Jean by Susan Chandler when I was 6ish and I highly recommend it. The book tells the story of Jean, a young girl with an imaginative spirit who loves to invent things. Jean is the quintenssiential problem-solver! I really enjoyed seeing Jean come up with clever solutions and inventions to solve the obstacles she encounters. The writing in Ingenious Jean is engaging and humorous, making it a great read for children. Jean is a great role model with her can-do and positive attitude. I think this book is appropriate for ages 4+. It is a delightful story about friendship, problem-solving, and the power of a child’s imagination. Ingenious Jean is sure to become a favorite of any reader! 4.5 out of 5.
