Gripping anime story for older kids
I had a time where I was reading any anime I could and Karneval was recommended to me by a friend. Karneval is a unique and captivating graphic novel series. It follows the story of Nai, an orphan looking for someone important to him, and Gareki, a thief and scavenger, as they become unwitting members of the secret government agency known as “Circus”. The characters find themselves entangled in the dangerous adventures of Circus and its members battling against powerful forces and dark organizations for a greater cause. Karneval is an exciting story filled with thrilling action sequences and plenty of plot twists. At its core, this book teaches the importance of friendships and cooperation when confronting larger forces, an inspiring and important message for readers of all ages. The characters have unique and memorable personalities and in-depth backstories that build up an emotionally gripping story. I would recommend this book for 15+ and give it 5 out of 5.
