Masterminds has an unexpected plot twist--worth the read!
Masterminds is a thrilling sci-fi adventure book by Gordon Korman. I think this book is great for kids ages 8-12. The story follows the main characters Tori, Malek, Hector, Amber, and Eli. This was a really fun, fast-paced, well-written story for younger readers. It kept me engaged from start to finish, as I couldn’t wait to find out what the big secret of this sleepy little town was. The reveal is certainly worth the wait! What a plot twist! I also liked the unique presentation style, where each chapter was written from a different character’s perspective. The novel is action-packed, full of suspense, and sprinkled with Korman’s characteristic dry humor. The world Korman has created is immersive, and the pages are packed with exciting twists and turns. Masterminds is a fun science-fiction adventure and perfect for reluctant readers and really anyone who loves a thrilling story.
