Liked but did not love this book
I read Meet Cute: Some People Are Destined to Meet because it was talked about a lot and many people had suggested I read it. It took me awhile to finish it which is an indication that it didn’t really grab me. There are several stories written by various authors. Therefore, some stories are likely going to speak to some readers while others may not. Some of the stories were great (The Way We Love Here anyone?) but some were less engaging for me. What is a plus is that there is likely a story in the book for most people and there is great representation across race, sexual orientation, and gender which is a big positive. Surprisingly, I thought this was going to be a feel-good book, but each story is unique and, while they carry the general sentiment of romance, not all of them end happily. The stories feature interesting characters that will captivate the reader and draw them in. The dialogues between the characters are so real that it’s easy to find yourself caught up in their situations. I would recommend this book for people ages 15+.
