Book Title: Secrets at the Chocolate Mansion (A Maggie Brooklyn Mystery)

Book Description: Take your cookies elsewhere." That's what the note said in neat, block-like print, attached to a box of Girl Scout Cookies. Someone is out to sabotage the new sweet shop in the neighborhood, and Maggie Brooklyn is on the case. If only she weren't so freaked out herself lately. Maggie's new babysitting gig has her and her twin brother Finn hanging out in what they fear may be a real haunted mansion. And it's hard to solve real life mysteries when you think you're seeing ghosts!

Cute story!

The Secrets at the Chocolate Mansion follows Kit and Emily, two 11-year-olds, as they explore the mysteries of a family-owned chocolate business. The story is a quick read with characters that are developed through vivid and amusing dialogue.  Kit and Emily grapple with unsolved puzzles and peculiar occurrences involving the Quacks, the owners of the business, and this leads the two into a thrilling adventure. Filled with suspense, comedy, and a dash of mystery, this book is an enjoyable read for kids ages 8-12. I give this book a 3 out of 5.
